David is a great photographer! He produces consistently beautiful and outstanding work. He has established a look that is both elegant and classy through his set design and mastery of light that places him among the best in the Industry in my opinion. I have known David for a while now and he is more than just a brilliant and accomplished professional, he is a gentleman and someone I'm privileged to count among my friends.

I really enjoyed joining David in his home studio for a course on studio lighting. It's a pleasure to hang out with other photographers and learn from David. He's got an engaging and super clear teaching style and I came away with lots of ideas for my own work. We achieved so much in one day, with a number of different sets and lighting set ups. It was interesting to work with a model too, as I normally photograph nervous and uncomfortable people! I highly recommend David's workshops for portfolio building, creative ideas, technical know how and for fun!

David is a wonderfully relaxed professional. Proficient communicator and expert in his field, he is the ideal exponent of what he lives, breathes and enjoys passionately. He has the eye, the professionalism and the patience to do and convey what he does effortlessly yet not mechanically and I thoroughly enjoyed my time with him. David's workshop for me was great fun and informative. David clearly has a specific style that I was keen to learn. In addition to that, the set up and flow was nice and easy, the presentation at the beginning wasn't too long so I didn't have to try and keep myself awake but was still enough to give me the information I needed. The shoot itself was varied and I understood what the setup was trying to achieve in relation to the presentation. Finally, the shoot, the model and the environment were all excellent and I had much fun. I am looking forward to when I can attend another workshop with David, just for the enjoyment factor alone, definitely worth the 3 hour drive. Rai

I attended the Soulful Portraiture Workshop. David was very well prepared for the workshop with six planned sets of backgrounds, lighting and clothing. David was very helpful and willing to share his skills, knowledge and the distinctive style for which he is known. Jess Johansen was a wonderful choice of model as she is very attractive, experienced and good fun. It was a really good day - I learnt a lot and took some great photos. I would happily do it again. Highly recommended.

I attended one of David’s photography workshops and the whole day was amazing. It was a small workshop so not only did we all really had time to do different set ups with lighting, but the model Carla brought in different looks with make up, hair and clothes as well. David is a really generous with his knowledge and you can tell he wants you to do well. If you get the chance to train with David, don’t hesitate - your only regret will be that you wish you’d done it sooner! After we finished photographing, David took us through his editing workflow which was really helpful too.

David's workshops are excellent and he puts a lot of preparation and thought into them. He is also great about communication and about following up with sharing materials and post-event communication. He's an outstanding portrait photographer with a signature look and I really enjoyed his workshop.

I have watched a lot of tutorials over the last couple of years. This is among the best and one that I keep going back. I stumbled up David Shoukry's work on Facebook. Most of the time I look at images I may enjoy them or not but I will keep scrolling. David's images stuck with me. Much to my luck I quickly learned not only is an amazing photographer he is a fantastic teacher. His teaching style is easy to understand and follow. Best of all his master class teaches a wide variety of lighting setups and principals (I shoot a lot of dance and have found his ideas apply quite well) that you can apply in your own types of shoots as well.

I recently attended David's online photography workshop, and couldn't recommend it higher. In my option, David is one of the best portrait photographers in the UK, and he generously shares his process - without holding any secrets back - during this workshop. Not only that, he is also a great teacher (which make all the difference when it comes to workshops). Everything was explained very clearly, and logically and he was extremely responsive to any questions that came up. To any photographers interested in taking workshops, I highly recommend.

Had the most amazing experience at a fine art shoot for my daughter with David / English Photoworks. David is an extremely talented professional photographer who is passionate about his work. The studio is fabulous and his team were amazing and very friendly, we were made to feel so welcome and completely at ease. The photographs from the shoot are absolutely stunning and although my daughter is a model David managed to bring out a completely different side to her, the images wouldn’t look out of place in Vogue!
