After 35yrs using salt based softeners I was sceptical but lack of space in our new retirement flat forced us to seek an alternative. Finding the Aquabion product was, we thought was worth a try and I’m delighted to say we are NOT disappointed.

Like other reviewers - we hadn’t seen Aquabion before our plumber recommended it as an alternative to fitting a full new water softening system. The full- on water softener proposed came with difficult plumbing challenges - which we rejected. The plumber’s suggestion of the Aquabion was welcomed as a means of reducing some of the hard water challenges on our property. So, we took a chance and had it installed - a job which was significantly simpler. The result - it’s too soon to tell how effective this is going to be. The only sign that it’s working (after only a week) is that there is less limescale in the kettle. I take this to be very positive. I’ve registered this for Warranty - with a lot of help from the Aquabion support team - which I appreciate. They’ll inform me of the need to replace the mechanism in seven years time. It all seems like good service to me. Ask me again in seven years .

We were referred to Aquabion via a local Plumber having never heard of them before. We discussed options and cost with another plumber to get a fair comparison and decided to try it out rather than install a softener and have to replace the salt regularly. It’s only been a few months yet the visible limescale on taps, shower screens and bathroom fixtures is substantially reduced. We live in SN16 in the UK which has hard water so I can say it is having an effect. And best of all the installation is very non-intrusive and water tastes good from all our taps.

I have fitted two of these on a pair of semi detached houses and neither of them work at all. The shower head is clogged with hard scale and the shower screen can only be cleaned with Vical. I am sure I followed the fitting instructions so not sure what's happened.

Very satisfied with the results of Aquabion water conditioner. We have the 15 model installed. The online and phone support from the company is excellent. Would like to thank Alan Davies for his professional guidance in the installation of the correct model for our particular requirements. Would recommend the product.

I find it unusual for a rep to answer a phone call straight away, & yet, Adam Parker, the rep from Aquabion, not only done this three times for me, he even answered one of my calls out of social hours! (After 5pm) My first call was about what size product I needed as he explained that it wasn’t down to the size of the incoming mains. The second call was about the earthing across the Aquabion, & the third call was about a few technical questions of why it needed installing the way it recommends in the instructions. All questions were answered by Adam, in detail & promptly. I’m sure if Adam is anything to go by, this product is as good as they say it is. Thank you Adam for going above & beyond with your “after sales support, & technical help.” It’s very rare for a company to give such great service after a purchase.

We live in an area with extremely hard water. We've had traditional salt water softeners in the past but they were expensive to install, run and service. We were looking for alternatives and found good reviews on Aquabion - excellent customer service including a recommendation for a plumber to install the system. We are very impressed with the results so far - virtually no limescale (any that appears seems to be residue from before we had system fitted) and the water certainly is clearer and tastes "clean"

We were recommended to replace our old water softener, the ion-exchange resin of which had disgorged itself into our hot water cylinder, with an Aquabion softener by a German engineer. I approached Aquabion for a list of local agents. The first two were ‘too busy’ to help, but the third recommended by Aquabion came out, quoted, supplied & installed the machine. It’s very small, is 7-years maintenance-free, and there is no palaver of buying and carrying 25kg bags of salt to feed it. Most of my extended family now have Aquabion softeners. If it delivers what it promises then we are very pleased indeed.

We live in a hard water area and residue on showers and taps was a constant problem. I researched water softeners and conditioners, quickly coming to the conclusion a water conditioner suited our needs best. Aquabion engineering impressed and the reviews were good. I did experience difficulty in fitting it which had to be done just after our water metre outside. Aquabion were very helpful in advising what to do, The results were evident within a day and my wife, who was sceptical is delighted. We would readily recommend Aquabion..
