Great church a few minutes from the centre of Corsham town - can not believe that I have missed it after all the years of visiting Corsham - Free entry and donations can be left via a card reader - next to Corsham Court and gardens and Corsham park

This ancient Church is steeped in history it's hard to believe that a place of worship has been on this site for over a thousand years it is said there was a Saxon church here before the Normans invaded England in 1066 A.D.......It is recorded that William the Conqueror granted the church at Corsham to the Abbey of St Stephen at Caen in Normandy.....It's a lovely little church to look around with lots of architectural features and beautiful stained glass windows to be admired...All donations welcome in the gift box to help to maintain this 9 hundred year old building for the future.....🙏

Beautiful graveyard, it's a mini nature reserve and full of historical gravestones and markers..... Worth a walk through, any time of the year.

I was surprised to find this open, as it's always been locked before. ... Then one of our group pointed out all my recent "befores" in Corsham, were during lockdown. There's a new window, or rather new stained glass in an existing one. They also have an impressive rose window, of the type usually only found in cathedrals. This is in the North chapel/wing, the end ofwhich is devoted to the local principal landowners, the Methuens. An inscription reveals one of them was a field marshal. They have an unmanned secondhand book stall also suitable for browsing, with an honesty box. It's all very peaceful and interesting.

Lovely old church next to Corsham Court. We found it was open in the day time and popped in for a look. It still has its pews so we sat for a while taking in the atmosphere. On leaving we left a donation to help keep the church going for future generations.

Beautiful grounds and Corsham House. Fields not suited to wheelchairs. But everyone else can enjoy the lambs, lake etc.
